Who should I call for billing questions?
Generally, the company with whom you are insured is the best source for instant information. Look closely at your billing for their number. Here is the list of most commonly used billing numbers:
If you are unable to resolve a billing problem with the company, please call us at 559-298-0881 during normal business hours to see if we can resolve the issue for you.

What should I do if I think I have a claim?
With any incident involving another person or their property, you should not take any chances. In California, the Unfair Claims Practices Act requires agents and their representatives to report any possible claim to the insurance company. Therefore, you must decide before calling your agent whether you want to have a claim on your insurance record. Once we are notified of any possible claim, we must report it to your insurance company. A claim can be denied if not reported in a timely fashion.

How do claims affect my insurance rate?
Generally, with homeowners claims, one claim in a three year period doesn't hurt but two(2) claims can cause a company to non-renew your policy. There is no difference between a claim in which little is paid out or one in which a lot is paid out. Automobile insurance is a different. Comprehensive claims and "Not-At-Fault" accidents will not effect the rates you pay in most cases (except with respect to a persistency discount which may use the number of claims as a criteria). However, "At-Fault" accidents and "Moving Violations" are almost always counted against you. If you have an "At-Fault" accident in which injury is involved, or any combination of two(2) "At-Fault" accidents or moving violations within three(3) years, or a Major Violation within seven(7) years, you lose the "Good-Driver Discount" which was defined by the voters in 1988 in Proposition 103.

What should I do if I get a ticket?
GO TO TRAFFIC SCHOOL! Don't take a chance that you won't get another one in the next three years. All too often we hear that someone didn't have time to go to school, or they didn't want to spend the extra money. They get the second ticket and the rate almost doubles.

What should I do if I get a ticket?
- Surveys have shown that more than 20% of the people believe it is okay to pad a claim.
- Every claim costs money to handle regardless if there is money paid out to the policyholder.
- Over 30% of your premium dollar goes to legal costs alone.
- It costs money to process paper. Policies can be expensive to assemble and mail.
- Many claims that shouldn't be covered are.
- 20-30% of the people(agents too!) will lie to their insurance company to get a lower rate.
- Almost every time a lawyer is involved in a claim the cost increases.
- Because we don't have no-fault auto insurance in California.

Why is my home insured for so much?
The Market Value of a home is different than the Replacement Cost of a home. If your home were damaged, the insurance company must remove debris, retrofit into the existing structure, and generally buy the materials at a much higher cost than if they were purchasing the items in bulk. Recent surveys of insurance companies found that replacement costs are 30-45% more than new construction. Be sure you never purchase a policy which excludes replacement cost or building code upgrade.

Should I carry Comprehensive and Collision on my car?
Most finanCIAl experts agree that it is not prudent to carry this type of coverage if your cars value is less than $3000-3500. By the time you pay your premium for three or four years plus the deductible if a claim occurs, you usually are lucky to break even.
